If there’s a kind of greatness that can be conveyed with just a single note, it must be the sound of Hideki Kawamura’s saxophone. What begins as an instinctive sense of awe quickly transforms into certainty, followed by a sense of relief—like discovering a whole new world. His chemistry with longtime collaborator, pianist Yugo Nagata, is exceptional. Together with the highly sought-after young bassist Kifuu Yonezawa and promising student drummer Hinata Uesugi, they set the stage for a night of both intensity and comfort.
