音楽性の高さとエンターテイメント性を両立するのは簡単ではないが、それを高いレベルでやってのけるのがベーシスト光岡尚紀だ。聞いて楽しい、見て楽しいジャズがここにある。さらにこの日は若手有望ドラマー池田大英の大学時代の恩師であるギタリスト畑ひろしとの師弟共演も実現した。またアルトサックスの柏谷淳のサックスはインプロヴィゼーションの達人である。いろんな意味でおすすめの夜だ。

It’s no easy feat to balance musical sophistication with entertainment value, but bassist Naoki Mitsuoka achieves this at a high level. This is jazz that’s both a joy to listen to and a delight to watch. On this special night, there’s also a mentor-student reunion, as promising young drummer Tomohide Ikeda teams up with his former university teacher, guitarist Hiroshi Hata. Adding further depth to the lineup is alto saxophonist Atsushi Kashitani, a true master of improvisation. For many reasons, this is a night you won’t want to miss.
